Allen Sanders

Allen M. Sanders passed away suddenly at the ranch of cardiac arrest on June 8, 2020, at the age of 71 years.

His parents, Alfred and Frances Sanders, had begun producing ropings on West 2nd Street in Rio Linda, Calif., when he was a teenager. Bar 7S was the family brand and the name of the roping arena. When the family moved from West 2nd Street to 2nd Street in Rio Linda, the ropings continued. Later, they were held at the ranch in Pleasant Grove, Calif. He also moved cattle and other paraphernalia needed to hold ropings to several other arenas throughout the years. Allen carried on the roping tradition, making it last for 55 years. He loved roping and producing ropings until the very end of his life.
Allen graduated from Rio Linda High School. He worked at Dry Creek Lumber and Jalco Liquor company for many years. He was a man of many talents and had engaged in scuba diving and karate when he was younger.
Allen is survived by his wife Linda Sanders, son Matthew Sanders (Tara), daughter Amy Mundell (Jeff); sister Carol Kellen (Dean) and brother Dale Sanders (T.J.). He leaves six grandchildren: Cora Mundell, Tia Sanders, Sydnie Moore, Emma Mundell, Wade Mundell and Dutch Mundell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Frances Sanders, and his brother Terry Sanders.
