As the rain keeps falling and the temperatures drop everyone finds themselves staying inside more and more. So to beat the cold I found two simple, warming and very tasty recipes. Albert Solari from Ione, Calif. shared a recipe that is well known to most people, Beer Bread. It’s tasty to eat and easy to make, plus who doesn’t have beer around. Stay warm and have a Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone!
Hamburger Stew
1-1/2 lbs. hamburger, browned and drained
1 med. onion, chopped
6 carrots, peeled and sliced
6 med. potatoes, peeled and cut up
1 clove garlic, chopped (or tsp. garlic powder)
1 Tbsp. Gravy Master or Kitchen Bouquet
1 Tbsp. instant beef boullion
Put all the ingredients in a pot, add water to cover vegetables. Cover and simmer lightly for 30 to 45 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Thicken to your liking and enjoy.
Beer Bread
3-1/2 cups self-rising flour
1/2 cup sugar
12 oz. beer (any kind)
2 eggs
Mix all the ingredients. Pour into greased loaf pan. Preheat oven to 365 degrees. Bake for 55 minutes. Let cool, then have a slice.

All your recipes sound SO GOOD, but do you have any low-calorie recipes for those of us who love to eat but need to lose weight??
Thanks!
