LINCOLN, CA – Classic Barrel Racing hosted our first All American Barrel Race at Triple Crown Equestrian Center, July 1st and 2nd, and it was a HIT. More than 240 contestants and ton of fun.

I want to thank Steve and Stacy Morgan for opening their amazing facility to Classic Barrel Racing and allowing us to produce a fabulous race, it was a blast. They are continually improving this amazing facility, most recent addition are the 60 covered pens available for rent.

We had more than 240 contestants compete over the weekend. Saturday’s pace was set by Katie Drosihn on Real Claim To Fame, she ran a smoking time of 17.321 to win $644—and she set the new arena record.

Sunday’s fast time belonged to Shelley Holman on Red Hot N Burnin with a 17.338 winning $608.  

We gave away a ton of prizes, including beautiful custom Best Ever Pads by Rowdy Rose and awesome Cactus headstalls and halters as well as LameAway products.  

Big thanks to Ashley Hofman, Stefani Hofman, Diane Williamson and Teri Silva for working in the office, knowing they were there to “hold down the fort” allowed me to run my new mare and make my two best runs to date, thank you!

Big thanks to Krista Williams and her husband Jesse, for working the gate all weekend long. We had fabulous ground thanks to Pepe, Steve Morgan and Jason Krogue. Also Chad Nunnelee and Diane Williamson helped Friday to get everyone parked and settled in.

Saturday evening we had a Pole Bending event, which was a hit along with a great payout. Big thanks to David Covarrubias and Andii Garcia for running the event. The fast time in the Pole Bending was set by Madison Camozzi on Rosebuds Jet with a 20.843 winning $345.  

Our barrel setters were awesome this weekend, thank you Stacy Morgan for coordinating them and getting some pretty cool kids for us, they were great!

Jeff and Stacey Freitas and Gene McFerran spent the entire weekend videoing and photographing all the runs, visit their websites to order your videos, time run reports and photographs. JFVideo.com will post Gene’s website link once his photos are uploaded.

Joshua McGuire, Wendy McGuire and Amber McGuire helped all weekend long with watching our darling little boy, Corbin.

Overall we had a wonderful time, so very thankful for the life we get to lead. Thank you to everyone who stepped in to lend a hand and a huge thanks to all the contestants. Let’s do it again next year.
