GILROY, CALIF. – V7 Roping Cattle and the Cozzitorto family produced a Team Roping Night Series during the summer months at the Gilroy Rodeo Grounds. ACTRA numbers were used with ropings held in June, July and culminating on the Thursday prior to the start of the Gilroy Rodeo.
High money awards went to ropers who placed the final night, August 12th, and had attended three out of the four ropings held. Andy Holcomb and Billy Aviles took home the buckles and Yetis.
The final roping of the series had a phenomenal 231 teams enter the #8 Handicap Pick & Draw 4 for $40/man. Mike Christensen and Daniel Green, were the champions with a time of  30.99, winning $1,485 each.
