CHOWCHILLA, CALIF. – The Chowchilla Western Stampede was held March 3th through 5th. Ropers braved wind, rain and flooding to compete at this prestigious event that celebrated its 66th anniversary. As always, the weekend kicks off with an Historic Cattle Drive.
 The #10.5 Pick 8 Steer Roping and the #7 Hdcp. Down 8 Steer Ropings each had $2,500 added. Champions for this year’s event were Kelly Barker and Jake Bourdet in the #10.5 and the #7 Hdcp. winners were Alex Evans and Anival Guerrero.
 Buckles were awarded to all event winners with Stampede Grand Marshal Dr. Ed LeTourneau, on hand to make the presentations.
