Jim Hanner passed away in his sleep at his home in Shafter on June 11. Jim was born in Oklahoma on August 24, 1937. When he moved to California he made Kern County his home.
Jim’s wife Billie of 66 years was at his side along with their children when he passed. Many more of Jim’s relatives and closest friends also came by to pay their respects to Jim.
Jim was an avid team roper. He was a Lifetime Member of ACTRA. He served as the California Secretary for two years.
Jim and Billie were very passionate about ACTRA, especially the Catastrophe Fund, which they are credited for much of its success.
Jim will be missed, but left us with many great memories.
