First of all God knows you better than you know yourself. He has known you all of your life.
God does not “wink” at sin. He sees sin as eternal separation from Him. That’s why His provision of His son Jesus Christ is vital to relationship and reconciliation to God.

God understands our moods, our frustrations, our joys and triumphs and our obstacles and difficulties. No one in our life can do that like He can. God is sovereign, but not all things in life are His will.
Your relationship with God is founded on simple belief and reliance on Him. None of the heroes in the Bible were perfect people. They had to rely on the perfection of God and their belief in Him to be victorious and righteous. Consider David, of David and Goliath fame. He had an affair with Bathsheba and then had her husband killed on the battlefield. By any standard this was a terrible thing to do. However David was a man after God’s own Heart. His faith in God’s righteousness and not his own was the reason. He was a successful and renowned King and warrior.
Many think that life is a game of equivocation. Do more good than you do bad and all will be well. That is not relying on God’s grace and mercy is it? That is relying on your own grace and mercy as you see it.
God understands that but certainly does not excuse it. Otherwise, his son Jesus died in vain.  Yes, God understands you. His standards of behavior are His though, and not necessarily any of ours.
Finals for just about everything are coming up. Rope great. Have faith. Be safe. Have fun.
