CHSRA District 3 has begun our 2016-17 rodeo season. On September 24-25, District 3 held its first rodeo at the Lincoln Rider’s Club. Our membership remains steady with 109 high school members and 57 junior high members. High school and junior high contestants started off the season strong in September.
Our next rodeo was held Oct. 29-30, with a Halloween costume contest.

California High School Rodeo Districts 1, 2, 3 and 5 joined up in February for our annual Inter District Rodeo. With over 250 entries, District 3 took Red Bluff, Calif., by storm, claiming the girls All Around saddle and Boys Reserve All Around. In addition, there were many other first place winners.

BISHOP, CALIF. – The 2015 California High School State Finals had record breaking attendance that included many tourists from other countries to see their first ever American rodeo. And they were not disappointed as many events came down to the last ride, the last run and the last loop to decide the 2015 Champions.

Howdy, rodeo fans!

It’s official, CHSRA District 3’s 2015-16 rodeo season has begun. We had some wet, rainy weather for our October 17-18 rodeo, but that didn’t stop “Thundering Three.” In addition to the fun rodeo weekend, District 3 also had its annual Halloween costume contest. From Indians to princesses, our contestants showed off their Halloween spirit! Prizes were awarded to all the winners.

Another rodeo was held Nov. 7-8. Be sure to stop by for a great time and help support our contestants as they demonstrate what makes the sport of rodeo “the most fun on dirt.” Although the season is just beginning, the competition is on.
